The story of Caps Island
Caps Island is a custom headwear manufacturer based in Bratislava, Slovakia, and part of Dessa Group, with production in Europe. We develop and produce caps, hats, beanies and visors to the specifications of brands, agencies and organizations.
We make headwear from scratch rather than decorating stock caps. The construction, fabric, colors, brim, closure, interior and branding are decided with you, from a minimum order of 200 pieces (500 for beanies).
Our role is to turn a brief into something that can be produced consistently: a tech pack that records every decision, a sample you approve, and a bulk order that is inspected against both before it ships.

How we work
Every project follows the same six steps, with one point of contact from the first inquiry to delivery.
- 1Project inquiryDescribe the headwear you have in mind: style, quantity, colors and where it will be sold or used. Attach logos, references and any files that help.
- 2QuotationA project contact reviews the brief and returns a quotation based on construction, materials, decoration and quantity. Questions are clarified before anything is priced.
- 3Technical specificationsA tech pack records artwork, placement, dimensions, colors, materials and trims. Production starts from this document, so it is sent to you for approval.
- 4SamplingOnce the tech pack is approved, the sample is made. Sampling takes 7–14 days depending on design and requirements. Corrections are recorded against the tech pack.
- 5Bulk productionBulk production starts from the approved sample. The sample and tech pack become the reference every production piece is checked against.
- 6Inspection and deliveryFinished goods are inspected before dispatch and shipped by road, air or sea, depending on destination, volume and timeline.

- Quotations explain what drives cost. Delivery dates are given when they can be supported, not before.

- Your designs and files are used only for your project. Specific confidentiality terms can be agreed in writing.

- We state origin, materials and certifications per quotation, based on the actual production setup for your order.
