A five-panel cap replaces the two front panels of a baseball cap with one wide panel. There is no center seam through the logo area, the crown is usually low and unstructured, and the brim is often flat and short. Outdoor, skate and lifestyle brands use it because it reads as a deliberate design choice rather than a default cap.

Five-Panel Caps: styles
Development platforms to start from. Each has a full specification.
How five-panel caps are built
The wide front panel is the defining feature. It suits woven labels, small patches and centered embroidery without a seam crossing the artwork. The remaining four panels form the sides and top of the crown. Camp caps often add a short flat brim and a nylon strap with a plastic or metal slide.

Is a five-panel cap the same as a camp cap?
A camp cap is a five-panel cap with a low crown, a flat short brim and usually a strap closure. Not every five-panel cap is a camp cap: truckers are often five-panel too.
Can we embroider over the front panel?
Yes. With no center seam, the front panel is a good surface for centered embroidery.
Do five-panel caps fit differently?
They usually sit lower and shallower. Fit depends mostly on crown profile, which is defined in the tech pack.
Specify your five-panel caps.
Style, quantity, colors and artwork are enough to start. A project contact replies with questions or a quotation.
