Caps Island

Branding that suits the construction

The right technique depends on the crown, the fabric and the artwork. Below is what each method does well, where it reaches its limits, and where on a cap it can go. Availability is confirmed during development and approved on the sample.

Embroidery

Flat embroidery

Thread stitched directly into the panel. The standard for caps: durable, precise and suited to most logos.

Best for: Most logos, small text, multiple colors

Keep in mind: Very fine details below about 1 mm stroke may fill in.

3D puff embroidery

Embroidery stitched over a foam underlay that raises the design from the surface.

Best for: Bold letters and shapes on structured fronts

Keep in mind: Not for small text or fine lines; best on structured crowns.

Patches

Embroidered patches

A separate embroidered badge sewn or heat-applied to the cap.

Best for: Vintage looks, badges, foam fronts

Keep in mind: Adds thickness; edge finish (merrow or cut) is specified.

Woven patches

A finely woven badge that reproduces small details more precisely than embroidery.

Best for: Detailed logos, small text

Keep in mind: Flat look; color count depends on the loom.

PVC patches

A molded rubber or PVC badge with raised and recessed levels.

Best for: Outdoor, sport and technical looks

Keep in mind: Stiff; best on flat or gently curved panels.

Leather patches

Real or faux leather with debossed, printed or laser-engraved branding.

Best for: Premium, workwear and outdoor styles

Keep in mind: Material availability and care behavior confirmed per project.

Labels & trims

Labels

Woven brand labels, size and care labels, side labels and printed seam tape inside the cap.

Best for: Private label and retail

Keep in mind: Labelling requirements of the destination market are provided by the buyer.

Custom closures

Strap material, buckle or slide finish, snap color and branded hardware.

Best for: Premium and fashion caps

Keep in mind: Custom hardware may carry its own minimums.

Color & packaging

Pantone color matching

Fabric, thread, eyelets and trims matched to Pantone references and approved on the sample.

Best for: Corporate and brand programs

Keep in mind: Custom-dyed fabric may carry its own minimums.

Packaging

Individual polybags, hang tags, brim stickers, retail boxes and carton marking.

Best for: Retail, e-commerce and gifting

Keep in mind: Specifications confirmed on the quotation.

Decoration positions

Most caps can carry branding in several places. Each position adds an operation, so it affects cost.
