Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to the use of capsisland.com and to inquiries sent through it. Caps Island works with businesses only. The binding terms of an order are those set out in the quotation and order confirmation for that order.

1. Scope

These terms apply between Caps Island (Suché Mýto 19, 811 03 Bratislava, Slovakia, "we") and anyone who uses this website or sends an inquiry through it ("you"). Our offer is aimed at businesses, organisations and public bodies, not at consumers.

Where a quotation, order confirmation or separate written agreement contains different terms, those documents take precedence for that order.

2. Website information

Product pages describe development platforms and options that can be specified, not stock items. Photographs are illustrative references and do not show Caps Island production. Specifications, minimum order quantities, sampling times and options are given in good faith and are confirmed for each project in the quotation.

The website does not constitute an offer to enter into a contract. Information may change without notice.

3. Quotation requests

Sending a brief through a form or by e-mail is a request for a quotation. It does not oblige you to order and does not oblige us to accept an order. We reply by e-mail with questions or a quotation.

The published minimum order is 200 pieces for caps, bucket hats and visors and 500 pieces for beanies. How the minimum applies per style, colour or decoration is stated in the quotation.

A quotation is based on the information and files you provide. Changes to the specification, quantity or timing may change the price and lead time.

4. Logos, artwork and files you supply

When you send logos, artwork, designs or tech packs, you confirm that you own them or are authorised to have them reproduced on headwear, and that their use does not infringe the rights of third parties, including trademarks, copyright and design rights.

We use your files only to assess, quote, develop, sample and produce your project. We do not use your designs for other customers. Specific confidentiality terms can be agreed in writing.

We may decline a request if we have reason to believe that it infringes third-party rights or is unlawful.

5. Specifications, sampling and approval

Production is based on a technical specification (tech pack) that records construction, materials, colours, artwork placement, trims and labelling. The tech pack is sent to you for approval.

After approval, a sample is made. Sampling usually takes 7–14 days, depending on design and requirements. Corrections are recorded against the tech pack. Bulk production starts only after you approve the sample in writing.

The approved sample and tech pack are the reference for production and inspection. Natural variation between materials and dye lots is possible within the tolerances stated for the order.

6. Order confirmation

A contract is concluded only when we confirm an order in writing (order confirmation) or when both parties sign an agreement. The order confirmation states the specification, quantity, price, payment terms, delivery terms and expected delivery date.

7. Intellectual property on this website

Texts, illustrations, diagrams, the Caps Island name and logo, and the design of this website are protected. Photographs are used under the licences of their sources (Unsplash and Pexels). You may not copy or reuse content from this website beyond what the law allows without our written permission.

8. Website availability and links

We aim to keep the website available and accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we have no control over their content.

9. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Contact and disputes
