A visor is a brim and a headband with no crown. It keeps sun off the face while leaving the head open for ventilation, which is why it is common in tennis, golf, running and hospitality. The band is narrow, so branding is planned around a small front area.

How visors are built

The band is made from fabric over a stiffening layer and finished with a sweatband inside. The brim is constructed like a cap brim, with an insert and stitch rows, and is joined to the front of the band. An adjustable closure sits at the back, usually hook-and-loop or an elastic band.

Typical buyer requirements

  • Comfort in heat and during sport
  • A logo that fits a narrow band
  • Quick-drying sweatband
  • Adjustability for a wide audience
How large can a visor logo be?

The band is narrow, so the logo height is limited. Wide, short logos work best. The exact area is defined in the tech pack.

Which closure is best for running?

Elastic or hook-and-loop. Elastic is lighter and has no hard parts against the head.

Can visors use performance fabric?

Yes. Performance polyesters and moisture-wicking sweatbands are common; specific material properties are confirmed per material.
