Olive cotton bucket hat with stitched brim and metal eyelets on a white background

Custom bucket hats

  • Samples in 7–14 days

The bucket hat has a crown of side panels, a flat top panel and a downward-sloping brim all round. Its character comes from brim width, brim angle and the rows of stitching that stiffen the brim. It works in fashion collections and in practical outdoor and event settings.

Bucket Hats: styles

Development platforms to start from. Each has a full specification.

How bucket hats are built

The crown is built from one or more side panels joined to an oval top panel. The brim is cut as a ring, usually in two layers, and stitched with concentric rows. More rows make the brim firmer. Metal or embroidered eyelets on the crown add ventilation. Reversible bucket hats use two shells, which doubles material and changes the decoration approach.

Are bucket hats sized or one size?

They can be produced in sizes or as one size with a drawcord. This is decided in the specification.

What makes a bucket hat brim stiffer?

More stitch rows, heavier fabric and, in some designs, an interlining. The effect is confirmed on the sample.

Can bucket hats be reversible?

Yes, with two shells. It affects material use and decoration, so it should be specified early.
